The following services are offered:
Assessment
Individualized therapy
Parent/caregiver coaching
Report writing
Consultation/collaboration with other professionals
Areas of practice include:
Autism (ASD) and social communication
Receptive language (understanding of language)
Expressive language (use of language)
Prelinguistic communication (“late talkers”)
Articulation (speech sound production)
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
Stuttering
Selective mutism
Phonological awareness (pre-literacy) skills
Rates:
My rate is $150 per hour for assessment or therapy sessions
Indirect time (e.g., report writing, FSCD documentation) is also billed at $150 per hour.
After each session, you will receive an invoice that can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
FSCD funding may also be available. We are happy to support families with FSCD contracts. Please note that our rate is higher than what FSCD reimburses.
Session location:
Speech-language therapy is available for children living anywhere in the province of Alberta.
In-person therapy or teletherapy are options for families living in the Calgary area.
Sessions can take place at my home office in Crestmont SW or in your home (depending on your location). Please note that there is a mileage fee for sessions in your home.
Teletherapy is available for families living outside of Calgary.
Session length:
In-person sessions are 60 minutes and include direct therapy, parent coaching, and review of strategies/home practice.
Teletherapy sessions are 30 minutes or 60 minutes.
Session frequency:
Sessions can occur weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
Frequency depends on your child’s goals, funding/benefits, and scheduling. We will work together during the first session to create a treatment plan that works for your family.
